All terrain forklifts are commonly used on rough terrain and unstable surfaces. Characterised by their large pneumatic tractor style tyres, all terrain forklifts can come in two and four wheel drive and can be fitted with a mast and forklift tynes. The range of telescopic handlers have an extendable boom allowing a forward reach and lift heights from 5 to 17 metres. These booms can take attachments such as buckets for unloading gravel on a building site.
