The following is a list of daily checks that need to be carried out to your forklift to ensure proper Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) guidelines are followed.

20 POINT SAFETY INSPECTION

  1. CLEAN Unit
  2. Check for visible Damage and report to supervisor
  3. Check for Service complete as required
  4. Check All Lights including Safety Warning Lights
  5. Check all Safety Warning Devices Horn/Reverse Alarm
  6. Check all Gauges/Instruments and wiring
  7. Check neutral safety switch
  8. Check Footbrake and Handbrake operation
  9. Check Steering operation
  10. Check all Hydraulic functions
  11. Check all Mast, Carriage and AttachmentOperation
  12. Check for Oil/Fluid leaks
  13. Check all Oil/Fluid Levels
  14. Check Battery/Charger Operation (if applicable)
  15. Check Seat/Seat Belt operation and condition
  16. Check Overhead Guard and Load Guard
  17. Check Tyres and Lift Chains
  18. Check Load Rating Plate and Decals levers and safety
  19. Check Wheel Nuts/Clamps/Rims
  20. Check Tyre condition and pressures
